Description: On October 13, 2007, Detective Dukes was shot and critically injured when three suspects robbed his home. Detective Dukes had just arrived at his residence when the armed suspects approached him in his driveway. Detective Dukes was then forced into his home where the suspects stole several items and assaulted his wife. Detective Dukes was shot twice as he protected his family and personal property. He died five weeks later from his injuries.
