Description: Constable Dalton was shot and killed while attempting to search a residence for two fugitives. Constable Ed Wright, of Pierce City Missouri, was also shot during this incident and died two days later (32-E: 27). Law enforcement officers captured one of the fugitives and shot and killed the second suspect as he attempted to flee.
