Description: Sheriff Davis was shot after arresting a suspect. Sheriff Davis held three warrants on the suspect for theft. Sheriff Davis granted the suspect's request to retrieve a sweater. Instead of the sweater, the suspect drew a .45 pistol and shot Sheriff Davis in the abdomen. Sheriff Davis died two days later of his injuries. The suspect was convicted of second degree murder.
