Description: Deputy Sheriff Bridges was killed in an automobile crash during Hurricane Irma. Deputy Bridges was leaving an evacuation shelter in Hardee County in her patrol vehicle and in full uniform. She was driving home to get supplies before returning to the shelter when she was involved in a head-on collision. Deputy Bridges had been required to stay in the county despite the mandatory evacuation order due to Hurricane Irma.
