Description: Deputy Early was critically injured in an automobile accident while on patrol in Audrian County, Missouri. While attempting to negotiate a curve, Deputy Early's patrol vehicle began to slide on black ice. Deputy Early's patrol vehicle struck the guard rail and continued to spin out of control and landed in a ditch. Deputy Early was paralyzed from the neck down and forced to retire from the department. Deputy Early remained under a doctors care and died 11 years later.
