Description: Conservation Officers Erickson and Officer Emil Skoglund were on patrol when they were shot and killed by a man they had just arrested for hunting small game without a license. The suspect, who was an ex-convict, shot the officers with a .22 pistol. He then weighted their bodies down with bags of bricks and placed them in Marquette Harbor. He later confessed and the remains were retrieved.
