Description: Officer Ellsden was shot in the neck and in the corner of his eye while serving a peace warrant to three unruly brothers. The other officer on the scene, Officer Dickerson was shot in the back beneath his left shoulder blade but survived his injuries. The three suspects ran through town shooting at and killing anyone in their path. The suspects made it as far as the river where they were killed by the townspeople hurling rocks at them.
