Description: <p>Officer Erickson was struck by a heavy construction vehicle while he directed traffic at a construction site. The driver of the construction vehicle did not see Officer Erickson when he started backing up a large construction truck. Officer Erickson was transported to a local hospital where he later died of his injuries. Officer Erickson was in uniform, he had an orange raincoat on labeled 'Yarmouth Police', and his police hat and badge were visible.</p>
