Description: Marshal Emerson was investigating the theft of farm goods from a local farmer. Marshal Emerson located the stolen farm goods on a wagon and proceeded to arrest suspect driving the wagon. The suspect produced a pistol and a gun fight ensued. Marshal Emerson was shot fatally and died at the scene.
