Description: Deputy U.S. Marshal Escalanti was stabbed multiple times by two intoxicated men who were loitering along the railroad tracks near Yuma, CA. Deputy Marshal Escalanti shot and wounded one of his assailants. The suspects were arrested and charged with murder. Deputy Escalanti died of his injuries two weeks later.
