Description: Marshal Epperson and Deputy Bill Worley attempted to arrest a suspect for disorderly conduct. The suspect resisted arrest, gained control of Marshal Epperson's gun and threatened to shoot. Another man came from behind, removed Deputy Worley's gun from its holster and fatally shot Marshal Epperson. The suspect who threatened Marshal Epperson received a 12 month sentence and a fine. Marshal Epperson's assailant received a life sentence.
