Description: Patrolman Edwards was stabbed in the chest as he attempted to arrest a suspect who was involved in a fight. Although wounded, Patrolman Edwards took the suspect into custody. Patrolman Edwards developed pneumonia and died of his injuries four days later. The suspect was convicted of second degree murder and sentenced to 35 years in prison.
