Description: Sergeant Elahi was struck and killed by an impaired driver while conducting a traffic stop with two other officers. Sergeant Elahi was standing in the shoulder lane at the rear of his vehicle interviewing the subject of the stop when the SUV entered the scene and struck all three officers. Sergeant Elahi was declared dead at the scene. The other officers sustained non-life threatening injuries. The driver was arrested.
