Description: Special Deputy Eldreth was fatally shot in the abdomen by a burglary suspect wanted for breaking into the post office. Special Deputy Eldreth was deputized by Deputy Sheriff Frank White who held an arrest warrant for the suspect. The suspect was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to two years in prison.
