Description: On June 1, 2011, Trooper Engelhardt succumbed to injuries sustained eight years earlier when her patrol vehicle was struck by a drunk driver. On July 26, 2003, Trooper Engelhardt was investigating an accident when her patrol vehicle was struck by a drunk driver, which pushed her vehicle into a guard rail. Trooper Engelhardt was airlifted to a hospital. Trooper Engelhardt died from complications of blunt force trauma to the head as a result of the crash.
