Description: Game Warden Eldredge went to the Ringwood area to investigate a report of poachers in the area. His body was found two days later with the holster torn from its strap and his overcoat buttoned over the chest wound. His assailant was never captured. His brother, Inspector Charles Eldredge, was killed in the line of duty 24 years later.
