Description: Officer Effinger and four other officers were dispatched to a restaurant where a bandit and killer-at-large was spotted. As soon as the officers were at the scene the man opened fire, and Officer Effinger was shot in the lung. Fellow Officer Wierczorek was also shot four times and dies later that day. The bandit was also shot, but escaped.
