Description: Jailer Emerson was escorting a prisoner to the bathroom at the county jail when the prisoner attacked him and gained possession of his gun. Jailer Emerson was shot in the head and torso with his own gun and died at the scene. The prisoner fled but was captured days later and charged with murder.
