Description: Officer Erfle was shot and killed when he and his partner questioned a suspect who was jaywalking and obstructing traffic. After dispatch confirmed the suspect had outstanding warrants, Officer Erfle and his partner attempted to arrest the suspect. The suspect produced a weapon, knocked Officer Erfle to the ground and shot him several times. Officer Erfle was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
