Description: Deputy Sheriff Eversole was shot as he attempted to post a sale notice after the resident refused to pay on a judgment levied against him. Deputy Eversole suffered a gunshot wound to the thigh and died a few minutes later. The suspect was convicted of murder and imprisoned.
