Description: Officer Etter and Officer Markins were killed when a pickup truck deliberately struck their patrol car. Officer Etter was training Officer Markins and had stopped the patrol car on the side of the road to complete routine paperwork. As the suspect approached the patrol car he accelerated to 70 mph and struck the patrol car without applying his breaks. Officer Etter and Officer Markins died instantly and were pronounced dead at the scene.
