Description: Police Officer Evans and Sergeant Brandon Paudert were shot during a routine traffic stop. Officer Evans pulled over a van for a traffic violation and Sergeant Paudert provided back-up. The suspects exited the vehicle and assaulted Officer Evans. Both officers were shot in an exchange of gunfire by one of the suspects who was wielding an AK-47. Officer Evans was pronounced dead at the hospital. Sergeant Paudert died at the scene. Both suspects were shot and killed by fellow law enforcement officers.
