Description: Deputy Sheriff Edwards was shot with his own weapon when he responded to a call where three intoxicated suspects were harassing a young girl. While attempting to arrest the three suspects, one of the suspects engaged in a struggle for Deputy Edwards' rifle. The suspect gained control of the weapon and fatally shot Deputy Edwards. The suspect was charged with manslaughter.
