Description: Deputy Emerson and a complainant went to a farm armed with a search warrant regarding the alleged theft of turkeys and chickens. The stolen property was located. Enraged, the farmer grabbed Deputy Emerson's weapon and shot him with his own gun. Deputy Emerson died the next day. The farmer was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison.
