Description: K-9 Officer Fox was shot and killed while responding to a hit-and-run call. Officer Fox and his K-9 partner, Nick, engaged in a foot pursuit with the suspect who fled the scene of the crash. As Officer Fox approached the suspect, the suspect suddenly produced a gun and shot Officer Fox and the K-9. The suspect then shot and killed himself. Officer Fox was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. K-9 Nick recovered from his injuries.
