Description: Constable Ferrell was shot as he attempted to serve an arrest warrant for public intoxication. When Constable Ferrell allowed the suspect to get dressed, the suspect grabbed a shotgun and fired. Constable Ferrell sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen and died at the scene. The suspect was convicted of murder and sentenced to 18 years in prison.
