Description: Deputy Fusselman and a posse were searching for a gang of horse theives in El Paso, Texas when they came upon an encampment. The posse was ambushed by the gang and Deputy Fusselman was killed. The suspects fled. Deputy Torribeo Pastrano was killed 16 months later while attemtping to arrest a man wanted in connection with the murder. Eight years after Deputy Fusselman's death, a suspect was tried for his murder, found guilty and hung from the gallows.
