Description: Sergeant Figgins responded to a burglary at a local high school where several teenagers had allegedly tried to steal a golf cart. He called dispatch and reported he was in foot pursuit of several suspects and requested back-up. A witness to the burglary saw Sergeant Figgins chasing one juvenile and collapsing just prior to apprehending the suspect. Fellow officers found Sergeant Figgins lying in a field, unconscious. He was pronounced dead of a heart attack at a local hospital.
