Description: Deputy Sheriffs Faust and William Woods were shot as they attempted to arrest a suspect for his involvement in a murder that had occurred a month earlier. The deputies were fired upon as they searched the residence for the suspect. The Sheriff of DeWitt County arrested the suspect and his accomplice the next day.
