Description: Sheriff Farr, of Huerfano County, Colorado, was shot while attempting to arrest members of the Ketchum-Carver Gang who were wanted for two train robberies. U.S. Marshal Creighton Foraker assembled a posse to capture the train robbers in Cimarron, New Mexico. The train robbers were located and a gunfight ensued. Sheriff Farr was killed instantly. Posseman Henry Love was critically wounded and died four days later.
