Description: Chief Fenner was shot as he investigated a burglary in progress in a blacksmith shop. Chief Fenner was on patrol when he noticed that the door of the blacksmith shop was at an angle. Chief Fenner went inside to investigate and discovered a burglary in progress. Chief Fenner was shot in the chest and leg by the burglar and died at the scene.
