Description: Patrolman Farmer had been on routine patrol, stopping speeders and local rum runners along the state highway. Approximately 2:00 AM, two motorists found Patrolman Farmer's body near an intersection. He had been thrown about twenty-eight feet and had fractured his skull. Patrolman Farmer's weapon was not found at the accident scene. He died an hour later at the local hospital. Patrolman's Farmers death remains unsolved. Foul play was suspected, but never proven.
