Description: Officer Ford was on his way home from work with his fianc? when he detected a familiar odor. In the car waiting as Officer Ford went to investigate, his fianc? heard several shots. She ran to the yard and found Officer Ford lying on the sidewalk. Officer Ford was brought to the hospital where he died an hour later. A still was found in a nearby house and the bootlegger who owned it was charged with the murder.
