Description: Detective Faggio died as a result of a traumatic brain injury sustained in an automobile crash nine years earlier on January 31, 2003, while en route to the station to pick up his department vehicle prior to an assignment. Detective Faggio's personal vehicle was struck head on by an oncoming driver. Detective Faggio suffered severe head trauma due to the crash and required continuous medical care until his death on January 11, 2012.
