Description: Patrolman Flenner was attacked and beaten by a suspect he had placed under arrest for a domestic disturbance. While in the jail cell, the suspect attempted suicide twice. As Patrolman Flenner entered the cell to restrain the suspect, he gained control of Patrolman Flenner's baton and beat him. Patrolman Flenner was transported to the hospital where he died of his injuries four days later on December 18, 1908.
