Description: Detective Flick was shot and killed while investigating a motor vehicle theft as part of an Auto Theft Task Force. Members of the task force made contact with the suspect and a struggle ensued. The suspect then produced a handgun and began firing at the officers. Three other officers and a civilian bystander were also shot in the incident but suffered non-life threatening injuries. Detective Flick and the suspect died at the scene.
