Description: On April 6, 2017, Detective Focht went to the residence of two gang members, located in surroundings unknown to him, to interview them regarding a shooting investigation. Both men were uncooperative and one had a folding knife clipped to his pants pocket. It was not known how many people were inside the residence. Detective Focht returned to the office at noon and completed his shift. The next day, Detective Focht suffered a fatal heart attack after completing a scheduled stress test.
