Description: Deputy Sheriff Freeman was killed in a vehicle crash while engaged in a pursuit of an impaired driver. Deputies attempted to stop a suspicious vehicle in an area that was experiencing a recent string of burglaries. When the suspect refused to stop, a vehicle pursuit ensued. Deputy Freeman was assisting with the pursuit when he was broadsided by the suspect's vehicle. Deputy Freeman's vehicle left the roadway and struck a pillar of a vacant house. Deputy Freeman was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The suspect was taken into custody.
