Description: Deputy Fisher was shot and killed as he and other officers attempted to arrest a robbery suspect. The man denied that he was the suspect they wanted and asked if he could finish his meal. The lawmen agreed. Suddenly, the suspect drew a gun and began shooting. Deputy Fisher was shot six times and died at the scene. Middlesboro Chief George Minton was critically wounded but survived.
