Description: Officer Fitzgerald had just completed his shift when he was summoned back to duty by the day shift supervisor to assist in freeing a car stuck in a ditch. While attempting to free the car, Officer Fitzgerald suffered a heart attack. Officer Fitzgerald was transported to the hospital where he died ten days later.
