Description: Deputy Sheriff Fifer suffered a fatal heart attack after completing a Special Response Team tryout. During the obstacle course, Deputy Fifer was required to carry a dummy over several berms, complete a firearms target session, conduct pushups and run through difficult wooded terrain, along with several other strenuous activities. Deputy Fifer began having difficulty breathing after completing the entire course. Deputy Fifer was transported to a hospital where he died.
