Description: Ranger Privates Fox, William McKay, Thomas Grier and Nicholas R. Milett were killed when they attempted to arrest a band of outlaws affiliated with the Cortinistas. The Rangers pursued the suspects and a gunfight ensued. Private John Fox surrendered to the Cortinistas and was executed. Four other Rangers were wounded in this incident.
