Description: Sergeant Ferguson responded to radio communication that a foot patrol officer was in pursuit of a suspect and requested assistance. While en route, Sergeant Ferguson became stuck in traffic. He exited his patrol unit and began running to the scene. Sergeant Ferguson collapsed and fell unconscious just around the corner from the crime scene. Sergeant Ferguson died of a heart attack shortly after arrival at a local hospital.
