Description: Deputy Ford was shot and killed while conducting a forced entry during a hostage situation. A male suspect took a female hostage and assaulted her. The Emergency Response Team made a forced entry into the home and was met by gunfire. Deputy Ford was fatally shot in the head. Another deputy received non life threatening injuries.
