Description: Marshal Ferguson attempted to arrest a man for carrying a gun. The man, in turn, threatened Marshal Ferguson at gunpoint. Marshal Ferguson was unarmed so he took no further action. Later that day, Marshal Ferguson, now armed, went in search of the suspect and found him in a butcher shop. As Marshal Ferguson entered the store, he was fatally shot three times by the suspect. The suspect was pursued by a posse that shot and killed him.
