Description: Officer Fleet and his fellow officers chased a murder suspect to the railroad yards. As Officer Fleet rounded a corner, he came face to face with the suspect who shot him. Officer Fleet was struck under his right arm and the bullet exited under his left arm. Officer W. Bridges, who would also die in the line of duty eight years later, shot and killed the suspect. Officer Fleet died en route to the hospital.
