Description: Officer Fromm was attempting to arrest an unruly man with an open knife and was cut on the hand. A companion of the man joined in the battle. A nightstick was grabbed from Officer Fromm's injured hand and used to hit him. While bending over from the blow, the first man grabbed Officer Fromm's gun and shot him several times; one of the bullets becoming lodged in the groin. Complications from this wound lead to Officer Fromm's death. The two men fled the scene but were caught two days later.
