Description: After breaking up a dog fight, Officer Fleming was confronted by a man angry about the interference. The two parted and Fleming continued his beat. Shortly thereafter, the man pounced on Officer Fleming in an act of retaliation, beating him over the head and knocking him to the ground. He took the Officer's club, beat him with it and kicked him several times. It is believed that the injuries sustained from this beating brought on the pneumonia that caused the death of Officer Fleming one month later.
