Description: Deputy Sheriff Farris was shot as he attempted to arrest two wanted desperadoes. Deputy Farris died of his injuries two days later. One of the desperadoes was fatally wounded and the second was arrested. The desperado staged a jailbreak along with another inmate and fired the shot that killed Chief Milton Jones (39-W: 5) as he attempted to apprehend them. The other inmate was in jail for the murder of Deputy Sheriff Will Turner.
