Description: Special Agent Fidel had a heart attack and died while off duty. Twenty-four hours prior to his heart attack, Agent Fidel and several EPA Criminal Enforcement Agents raided three homes in West Covina, California where computers and several boxes of evidence were seized. As the lead computer forensic agent, Agent Fidel loaded and unloaded four large computer storage units weighing 60-80 lbs. each five times during the course of that day. At 6:00 pm, the investigations were completed and Agent Fidel returned home. The next day, Agent Fidel worked from home analyzing computer forensic images. At approximately 5:51 pm, Mrs. Fidel found her husband unconscious in the back yard. Agent Fidel was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:18 pm.
